I have used Notion for work, as well as for daily tasks/projects very often throughout both my work and personal life; and I truly believe that it is one of the most flexible productivity platforms. The one thing that I think stands out above everything else about Notion, is the flexibility. I have used Notion for everything from building huge and detailed project timelines for my job, to building small habit trackers and reading lists for my personal tasks/projects. To provide an example, when I was working remotely with my colleagues on a very complicated marketing campaign that had multiple contributors and stakeholders involved, it was very cool to see how Notion can combine databases, calendars, and task lists together on one platform and make it very user-friendly for collaboration with others in the same project timeline.
That being said it has not been without challenges. Initially the customization was very overwhelming --and I will admit, after day 1 of utilizing the app for a bit, I spent a few days researching and watching Youtube videos so I felt prepared to build my own templates and databases. Once I struggled through the learning curve, the benefits were huge; my productivity immediately increased when I was able to consolidate a bunch of apps I had used previously, all in one app.
One thing I really must say (not to complain) is I find the mobile app performance to be only tolerable. I tend to find it useful to quickly check something on the fly, or make quick little edits, but when I am in Notion to manage databases, or take notes from meetings or random ideas on my phone, it can feel clunky and cumbersome at best --which is fine, and totally OK, but can sometimes cause me to lose my flow and focus when I am away from my desk when I am trying to work.
Overall, I find that the positives outweigh the negatives for Notion. Multiple aspects of the collaboration have been beneficial for many reasons for team work. Collaboration on a shared Google document is one thing, but collaboration to share templates and to see what my team is working on in real-time, across multiple timezones; has made it easy for collaboration for everyone involved which is a success! Finally, as an educator who benefited from the educational discount, I appreciate how accessible this powerful tool is.
In conclusion, my experience with Notion has been overwhelmingly positive overall, and I really can't imagine how I would organize my professional responsibilities and personal goals --without Notion!

Airtable and Notion are versatile productivity platforms requiring minimal technical skills and no coding. They share common use cases like project management, CRM, and content planning. However, their strengths differ significantly. Starting as a note-taking tool, Notion excels in document and information management. It now offers adaptable features for a wide range of applications, focusing on document and knowledge management. A good illustration of this is its customizable wikis, powerful tools for organizing and sharing information in your organization.
In comparison, Airtable shines when it comes to managing large relational databases, making it ideal for tasks like inventory management. If you’re used to Google Sheets or Excel, you’ll find Airtable’s spreadsheet-based interface intuitive for handling structured data. It enables you to easily navigate your data by creating links between records. While Notion does offer database features, they can be less customizable and slower...
